Triple Chocolate Chip Cookies
Today I was feeling a little grumpy and I decided I needed something sweet to eat to cheer me up. Cookies always do the trick, so I decided to whip up a batch of regular chocolate chip cookies using the ingredients lying around my house. I couldn't decide which type of chocolate chip to use in the recipe so...I used all three. The cookies were loaded with mini semi-sweet chocolate chips, milk chocolate chips, and white chocolate chips. The cookies came out awesome, they had a great chewy/crispy texture with great flavor combinations from the sugars and all the different chips. This recipe is similar to a mix between my Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies and My Favorite Chocolate Chip Cookies. These cookies are definately going in my 'favorite cookie' catagory and I will make them again soon!
Let me know which three favorite chips you would use to put in your triple chip cookies!?
Triple Chocolate Chip Cookies
3/4 Cups butter, at room temperature
1/4 Cup white granulated sugar
1/2 Cup firmly packed brown sugar
1 Large egg
1/2 tsp vanilla
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/8 tsp salt
1 1/2 Cups all-purpose flour
1/2 Cup mini semi-sweet chocolate chips
1/2 Cup milk chocolate chips
1/2 Cup white chocolate chips
1) Preheat oven to 350F and prepare two cookie sheets with parchment paper
2) In a large bowl beat butter with an electric mixer, then add sugars and beat until mixture is light and fluffy
3) Add egg and vanilla to butter mixture and beat until well combined
4) Stir in baking soda, salt and flour and mix until dough comes together
5) Stir in all the chips at once until well mixed and then spoon heaping Tbsp of dough onto prepared cookie sheets
6) Bake for 12-14min until tops just begin to brown and bottoms are evenly browned, let cool on pan for 2min then transfer to cooling rack to cool completely and enjoy! (you should get about 2 dozen cookies)
