Chuck's Berry Crumble

Chuck's Berry CrumbleI've feel in love with this new show on the Food Network called Chuck's Day Off.  I find his recipes fun and simple to make; so when my mom requested something fruity for her Mother's Day dessert, I decided to turn to Chuck.  After searching on the Food Network website, I was able to find Chuck's recipe for a berry crumble.  The recipe was so easy to make and tasted so so good that me, my mom, and my sister (who never has seconds for dessert) all went back for more until it was all gone.  The crumble on top had such a great crunch texture (not soggy at all like some crumbles are), it had such great sugar and butter flavor that wasn't too overpowering and complemented well with the berries.

Chuck's Berry CrumbleThe berries had just the right amount of sweet and tart flavor, and weren't too runny because of the addition of tossing them in flour.  I baked it in a deep 8in square baking dish and baked it for 45min, then let it sit for about 20min before eating it.  I think if I were to make it again I would double the amount of berries rather than having the porportions equal because I am a huge fruit fanatic!  The recipe is posted above for you to try, and you have to try it because its so good especially for spring.  Please leave a comment and let me know what your favorite spring recipe is, I would love to hear what you have to say.
