Chocolate Cookies with White Chocolate ChipsAs always, I was craving chocolate today...so of coarse I had to make chocolate cookies!  Chocolate cookies are a prefect little dessert snack when your sweettooth is craving that little hint of rich chocolate.  These cookies turned out just like I hoped and satisfied my craving 100%.  The were big and chewy, and just melted in your mouth.  Here's the recipe in case you get a chocolate craving today like I did.

Chocolate Cookies with White Chocolate Chips

1 Cup all-purpose flour
1/2 Cup cocoa powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
8 Tbsp butter, at room temperature
3/4 Cups packed brown sugar
1/4 Cup white granulated sugar
1 egg
2 tsp vanilla extract
1 Cup white chocolate chips

1) Preheat oven to 350F and line two cookie sheets with parchment paper
2) In a medium bowl sift together flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, baking powder, and salt then set aside
3) In a large bowl beat butter until creamy, then add both sugars and beat until well combined
4) Add egg and vanilla to butter mixture and beat until light and smooth
5) Add flour mixture to butter mixture and stir until just combined
6) Add chocolate chips and stir until just incorporated, then scoop heaping Tbsp of dough onto perpared cookie sheets
7) Bake for 10-12min (I took mine out at 10min) until edges just begin to harden and tops of cookies have cracks
8) Leave on cookie sheets for a few minutes then remove to cooling rack and enjoy!
