Australian Wedding and Cupcakes

As I mentioned in my earlier post, me and my boyfriend are all the way around the world in Australia.  We came here to visit our good friends Kat and Dwayne get married!  We stayed with them for a week and a half before the wedding and I got to help make the cupcakes for the wedding.   The wedding was so beautiful, very sunny and very colorful. 

Her mom had made 120 chocolate cupcakes the week before and froze them, then the day before the wedding we got to decorate them.  We covered the tops of the cakes with strawberry jam to keep the fondant from falling off.  Then we decorated them with purple flowers and other colorful candies.  They looked so good and were delicious to eat. 

For her wedding cake, she just ordered one small cake for the top piece and then used the cupcakes for the other tiers leading up to the cake.  It was a perfect wedding for the perfect couple. 

Me and my boyfriend are off to New Zealand now and I'm not too sure if I will get a chance to bake again but I will be home on December 7th and will be baking again in no time!  In the meantime, happy baking in your own chambers at home!
