Ninety Minute Sticky Buns

I found this recipe for ninety minute cinnamon rolls on AllRecipes website a few years ago and made them without any alterations to the recipe. They were a good alternative recipe to have for a cinnamon roll but I thought the dough was a bit chewy rather than flakey/soft, so I thought, 'why not make them even chewier and gooier with added stickiness?'. I followed the recipe exactly except for a few sticky alterations. I decided to increase the amount of cinnamon to 1/4 Cup instead of 1 Tbsp and used butter instead of margarine (but I think both work well). I also changed the baking method; instead of using muffin cups, I used two pie dishes with 6 rolls in each.

But before I added the rolls into the pie plates, I filled them with 1/2 Cup melted butter and 1/4 Cup packed brown sugar mixed together into each pan and then placed the rolls on top before baking. Once baked I let the rolls sit in the pans for a few minutes then inverted them onto a plate and ate them warm! These sticky buns were definately chewy, gooey and delicious! They were best right out of the oven or re-heated up the next day with a big glass of milk. Enjoy!
Whole Wheat Banana Pancakes

Good Morning! What better way to start your day off then with a big old plate of pancakes smothered with bananas and maple syrup! These pancakes were soft, moist and sweetly delicious. I decided to make them a little more on the healthier side of things to start my day off lighter (but I guess it doesn't really doesn't matter if I'm just going to eat them with lots of butter and syrup, YUM!). I like to add the bananas to the batter after pouring it onto the pan because I find if you mix them into the batter before cooking them they tend to get too mushy.
Chive and Cheddar Biscuits

I have been a huge fan of The Pioneer Woman for a long time now but I spend more time drooling over her site rather than baking from her site. But, I decided to stop pinning over her recipes and finally make one of them for myself to enjoy! I was working the morning shift at work this week so I decided I would make something savory rather than sweet. I decided on making the Pioneer Woman's Bacon Onion Cheddar Biscuits because I thought they would go perfect with everyone's morning coffee's.
Classic Banana Bread
This is a classic banana bread recipe with no fancy flavorings or add in's, just a simple delicious quick bread. It was esay to make and tasted very delicious. My favorite way to eat banana bread is to heat it in the microwave and serve it with ice cream but my boyfriend likes to cut thick slices and spread butter on it. Either way, this banana bread is moist and full of banana flavor. Give it a try and you won't be dissapointed.

Cranberry Orange Scones for Mother's Day
It's almost Mother's Day and as I've mentioned before my mom is obsessed with scones, she probably has about 20 different scones in her freezer right now. I thought a big batch of scones to add to her freezer collection would be a perfect idea for a Mother's Day present. I got the recipe from All Recipes while searching for Mother's Day desserts and I knew I just had to try it for my mom because of all the great reviews. I decided to add whole frozen cranberries and a bit of orange zest and juice to the recipe to give my mom a new flavor to add to her collection.
Sugar and Spice Biscuits
I thought these biscuits were so beautiful when they come out of the oven that I was drawn to make them because of their unique fan shape. I got this recipe from my Better Homes and Gradens: Cook Healthy Today Cookbook. The little sweet biscuits are only 121 calories and 4g of fat each, which isn't too bad for a sweet treat. The biscuits were easy enough to make, as well as fast, and I had fun making them into their fun shapes. They had great crispy biscuit texture on the outside and nice soft center with great sugar and cinnamon flavor. I would make these again for a quick treat to serve with tea or coffee if company was coming over. I was also thinking they would
Cinnabon Cinnamon Rolls
If you have never tried a Cinnabon cinnamon roll before then you must immediately go to your closest Cinnabon and get one or make this recipe. Cinnabon cinnamon rolls are so soft in texture that they just melt in your mouth and they have such great sweet flavor that you can't not love them. Once I made them I was just going to sample a piece of one but I couldn't resist the goodness and ended up eating a whole one to myself This recipe is not only good and taste exactly like a Cinnabon roll but its also really easy and quick to make.
My Mom's Best Banana Bread
This is, hands down, my all time favorite banana bread recipe. When I was growing up my mom would always make this and double the recipe to make two loafs and by the end of the day we would already be cutting into the second loaf. It's definitely not a low fat banana bread recipe but that's what makes it so moist and delicious and I ALWAYS add chocolate chips to it no matter what! It has a great banana chocolate flavor (especially if you use very ripe bananas) and the texture is so moist it just melts in your mouth. This recipe taste great the day you bake it, or the next day, or in the fridge, or warmed in the microwave, or even straight from the freezer (this recipe freezes well just wrap it tightly in cling wrap then tightly in tin foil and should last up to months). I gave my boy
Cranberry Orange Biscuits
These were a tasty little breakfast treat eaten either by themselves or served warm with butter. I altered the original recipe called cinnamon breakfast biscuits form my Better Homes and Garden Cookbook. They were very easy to make and had a great flavor and texture especially with the orange glaze I made for the tops. The outsides had a great crisp edge and the middles had a great soft texture like a traditional breakfast biscuit. I've posted my adapted recipe for you to try and enjoy.

Nun's Puffs
This recipe was a bit of an experiment that I got from my Better Homes and Garden Cookbook (I was mainly drawn to it because of its name) and I've posted the recipe below for you to try. I wasn't too sure what to expect, but from what I researched I think they turned out well and are best served at breakfast maybe with some honey or whipped cream. They kind of look like a yorkshire pudding but taste more like a cream puff without any cream in the middle. The have a soft hollow center and a crispy outside that are best served warm right out of the oven. They taste like an egg pastry, so if you don't like the flavor of eggs you may not enjoy them. I think they may be good with a little grated cheese mixed into the batter to go with the eggy flavor of them. They were definitely a fun experiment to make!
